For the South African Medical Practitioner it is of critical importance to manage the risk of unpaid accounts. Few other industries have such an administrative burden, with a complex funding system from third parties. At Core Practice Management we will ensure your practice accounts are administered professionally, thus freeing you from a potential cash flow burden and limiting your risk by:

  • Payment of your total fees/turnover billed (including COID, FEMA, RMA, SAPS-COID) within 30 days after month end, less our management fee
  • No bad debts
  • Live access to your accounts
  • Professional management of your patient accounts - providing you with ease of mind that your patients are treated according to the highest ethical standard and within the best practices of South African law.
  • Keeping you informed and in control of your patient accounts
  • Training your personnel to ensure optimal performance of your billing system
  • Providing continuity to your account management. For instance, when your receptionist/billing clerk is on maternity leave, we will ensure your billing keeps going and your cash flow is unaffected
  • Providing flexible solutions fitting the way you want to manage your practice. For instance, you may decide to process your own accounts, which would result in us lowering our management fee
  • An added advantage to our services is the improved control of your practice by:
    • Providing a monthly audit trail - reflecting all transactions with your patients
    • Segregation of duties - ensuring the same person does not perform all the tasks, thus limiting the risk of theft and embezzlement
    • You approve every write-off - thus retaining the right to decide who gets handed over or not
    • Regular audits of your cash receivable cycle, completeness of charges (do you bill all the codes you are entitled to?), as well as coding

  • The management fees are calculated based on the size of your practice and your practices risk profile. If your practice grows or the risk lowers, your management fee also decreases
